joining us
New members are always very welcome at Halesowen. You are always able to 'try before you buy' and you can come along to one or two taster sessions before you make up your mind. However, as we are a private members club, continued use of our facilities and participation in our programme is not available to non-members. For this reason, we ask you always to carry your membership card when using the track or other facilities.

If you have any questions about membership please contact our membership secretary, Jenny Sargent on 0121 550 4929 or e-mail her here.

what do members get?
Full members get free access to all of our facilities, including the track, the woods for those who fancy a bit of off-road training, the changing rooms and of course the bar and clubhouse. Members may also make occasional use of the weights room, the tennis courts and the athletics facilities by arrangement with the relevant section.

Full members may also join in our coaching, training and recreational cycling programme, including track sessions, club runs, circuit training and roller training. Most are free of charge, though some may ask for a small sub. to cover additional expenses associated with the session. Members can also enter our Winter (cyclo-cross) and Summer (track) Club Championships - there's lots of silverware to win!

Most importantly, membership entitles you to wear the Purple!

how do I join?
Just complete our application form and send it to us with the correct fee. Please make cheques payable to 'Halesowen Cycling and Athletic Club'. You'll need two existing members to propose and second your application. Your application will then be approved by our committee (this is usually just a formality) and we will send you a membership card.

Then you're in with the in-crowd! It's as simple as that.

road membership
We have intoduced a new lower-cost membership category for 2008. Road membership is ideal for those who race or ride recreationally on the road and who do not wish to use the track. Road members may not ride on the track (except for races where a separate entry fee is paid) or join in coaching sessions, but are welcome in the clubroom and on Sunday morning club runs.

social membership
If you don't cycle but you want to enjoy the convivial atmosphere, friendly company and perhaps the excellent real ale or other beverages in our clubroom and bar, you can take out social membership at a reduced rate. Please note that social members may not use the track or other facilities or join in our cycling sessions.

10% discount at red kite and speeds cycles
Speeds Cycles in Bromsgrove and Red Kite Cycles in Solihull now offer our members a generous 10% discount. You just need to show your membership card before you buy.

Both Speeds and Red Kite are well-stocked with all types of bikes and a good selection of clothing and equipment. If it's not in stock, they'll get it!
