road and circuit racing
There is a well-established road racing programme in the Midlands, and of course club members are in the thick of it!
circuit racing
Circuit races at Shrewsbury and Telford are always popular with our road-racing members, whilst the racing at Curborough near Lichfield is a Midlands institution. The new circuit at Tudor Grange in Solihull is a welcome addition to existing venues and will prove popular with halesowen riders. (In fact, we won the first ever open race held there!)
Late in the season the town centre races at Warwick not only attract a lot of riders: they also attract a lot of spectators. With the course's tight turns and varied surfaces, the racing is invariably fast and furious and really is an adrenalin-pumped spectacle.
This year, there will be series of Midlands races - Halesowen is organising a round in late July.
other events
In addition to races organised under British Cycling regulations. some older members also enter League of Veteran Cyclists' events.
The club also sends a team to the Isle of Man Youth Tournament.
