Cycling chair Dave Viner invited Mayor of the West Midlands Combined Authority, Mr Andy Street and his senior policy advisor, Mr Allan Andrews, along to Manor Abbey on Thursday, 22nd March 2018 to take a look at our track and to talk over cycling issues including our campaign to have a pedestrian crossing over Manor Way, the Commonwealth Games and lack of an indoor Velodrome, the ‘1.5m Matters’ initiative for overtaking cyclists and cycling for transport within the West Midlands.
Members Keith Weavin, Phil Winson, Matt Clarke & Tom Swingler accompanied Andy & Allan around the track for a taster session which was much enjoyed by all.
After the training session a talk took place inside the clubhouse over coffee & Hob Nobs.
